Is the Detail Dome waterproof in heavy rains?
"Yes no longer will your work day be lost by rain or snow. At times in heavy rains the weight of the water will make the top of the tent sag a bit. You simply knock the water off from the inside. Owners of the Detail Dome have left the dome erect for weeks at a time with little problem, even with heavy water on the top."
Is the Detail Dome easy to set up?
" The Detail Dome was designed specifically for one person to setup and take down. If you have ever tried to set up a camping tent with poles, it is not always "easy" the first time. The manufactuer has spent the most time in design, working to make it efficient as possible. First time setups of the Detail Dome ususally run about 45 minutes. After the second and third setups, you will have it down to 15 minutes. There are very specific directions with pictures to follow. In addition the poles are universal in size and are color coded. There is really no "wrong" way to setup."
Does the Detail Dome require sand bags or stakes to secure in position?
" The patented design of the "dome holders" allows you to leave the sandbags, ropes and tiedowns at home. Even in 40-50 mph winds the dome will holds its position. It will not sway or get in the way of you working. In addition if the wind is cold- YOU will not feel it!"
