Created and field tested over an eighteen month period by a long time mobile auto repair technician. Through years of changing Midwestern seasons including rain, snow, sub-zero temperatures and the blazing summer sun a solution was needed.
Many mobile technicians reading this can appreciate the fact that when the weather is nice, is the time we do the most work. Incorporating the Detail Dome into your business will allow you to work during poor weather and maybe take a break when the weather is nice.
With our business we must continue to be abreast of changes and new technologies and the environment around us. After completing the design, testing and patent work on the Detail Dome we knew the next step would be to work on an air filtration system which we could incorporate into the design of the dome. Not only will this promote health and safety of ourselves and employees but would allow us to be ahead of any environmental laws that are being considered. Being field tested currently, look for the Dome Trapper in 2006.
Below you will see a compiled report from 2004 in which we tracked and measured the weather and it’s effect on our business. This report will show the weather being the biggest contributing factor in potential lost revenues.
Completely waterproof, windproof (even below 32 degrees f), UV protection and white in color to “reflect” hot sun. Each dome is built by a small manufacturing facility in Michigan. Inspected one by one the Dome encompasses high grade aircraft aluminum for a lifetime of use. The fabric was selected based on water repellency, durability and weight for portability. Hand sewn zippers are incorporated for peak performance.
The Detail Dome allows the customer’s vehicle to hold down the structure in the heaviest winds using Dome Braces TM designed for quick and effective use on almost any surface. No need for sand bags or tie downs.
We at Detail Dome, Inc. appreciate your interest and look forward to serving you.
